i decided to drive from Melbourne to Darwin. No plans, no dates. I stopped at Uluru. I wanted to be there when the sun rose. I wanted to see the light play with colours. I did not plan this image. I saw the sun's first rays choose places it wanted to light up. I grabbed my new 300 f4 VR lens to isolate this piece of light on the rock. It was ephemeral, a fleeting moment and I took the image hand holding the camera. It was gone in seconds. The sun lit up the rock. I collapsed my tripod and left.
