The Life History of a Tree

We all marvel at their resilience of trees, at their wisdom and at their aura...but what about their 'insides'? Through capillary action and photosynthesis, water and nutrients are 'pulled up' the tree from the soil to nourish the foliage, so imagine the bars of water pressure needed to transport water up a 3m tall tree. In this photo we can see the trees age and growth history. It obviously did not like its neighbour to the right.
